Rustam Minnikhanov: “We should value the work of social workers”

On June 11, speaking at a solemn event dated to the Day of social worker in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that social workers do difficult and important work for our society, which is worthy of high moral and material appraisal and respect.
Before the event, Rustam Minnikhanov had visited an exhibition of advanced technologies and practices of social service.
Welcoming the participants of the event, Tatarstan President reminded that Tatarstan social workers won prizes at the IV All-Russian competition of social workers, the winners of which were awarded in Moscow on June 6.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the work done by social workers is very hard, but much needed. "There are 10,000 social workers in Tatarstan, servicing almost 1.5 million people. The average life expectancy is growing. It is good, but it also increases the workload of social workers," Tatarstan President said.
According to Rustam Minnihanov, the work done by social workers is in great demand and should be paid properly. "Probably, your work is undervalued, but, according to the Presidential decrees, we are working on increasing your wages and even a little ahead of the schedule in this regard," Tatarstan President said.
"The social support is not an easy job, not everyone can do it, and I would like to thank you. You are big-hearted people, who devote yourself to this work. We should value it,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President presented certificates to award the title "Honored Worker of Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" to the most distinguished social workers of Tatarstan. Besides, he gave car keys to the Zagidullin family with many children.
The winners of the regional round of the competition of social workers were awarded at the event as well.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
