Construction of objects in the historic centre of Kazan discussed at Tatarstan Government House

On June 12, projects of new buildings to be implemented in the historic center of Kazan were discussed at a meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at Tatarstan Government House. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Municipal Economy Irek Faizullin, Minister of Land and Property Relations Azat Khamaev, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin and other officials took part in the meeting.
Chief Architect of Kazan Tatyana Prokofieva presented 10 new construction projects to be implemented in the historic center for approval. The participants of the meeting approved most of them. However, Rustam Minnikhanov made some remarks on a number of projects.
Besides, Tatarstan President asked to completely modify the proposed project of construction of the office center in Khadi Taktash street on the shore of Lake Nizhny Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that three large 8-storey buildings of glass and concrete do not blend with a panoramic view of the lake shore. In particular, he advised to reduce the number of stories, change the exterior design, as well as pay more attention to improvement of the adjacent waterfront.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
