Plenary session of V All-Russia forum of Tatar religious figures held in Kazan

On June 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a plenary session of V All-Russia forum of Tatar religious figures “National identity and religion” (Kazan, June 12-14). To the point, 800 religious figures from 52 Russian regions, including Crimea, came to take part in the forum.
On June 12, participants of the forum discussed urgent issues, such as “Place and role of religious rites and national traditions in preservation of Tatar family”, “Social service in Islam”, “Role and place of Islam in high society”.
Opening the plenary session, Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the forum on hospitable Tatarstan land, and thanked them for taking part in the event.
The President also informed that the coordination council is to be established during the forum to coordinate decisions made.
Tatarstan President also stressed that preservation of spiritual values, national identity, Tatar culture and language is possible only by joint efforts, using all resources.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked religious figures for service to Tatar people and presented several awards.
Chairman of Central Muslim Spiritual Board Talgat Tadzhutdin recommended paying serious attention to moral education and social issues.
Representatives of some Russian regions told about work done by religious figures in regions, and thanked Tatarstan leadership for holding such an event and opportunity to visit Tatarstan.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
