Tatarstan President meets with Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Eiichi Hasegawa

On June 15, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Eiichi Hasegawa at the Kazan Kremlin.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mr. Hasegawa for his return visit to Tatarstan and meeting held within the framework of VI Russia-Japan Investment Forum in Tokyo. To the point, Tatarstan President was on a working visit to Japan on March 19-20, 2014.
Addressing the guests, Tatarstan President said that very informative meetings were held within the framework of the forum. “The programme was very interesting, we studied the experience of industrial territories in Yokohama," Rustam Minnikhanov said.
“We worked effectively, however, there was some tension because of the events in the Ukraine. Nevertheless, we are implementing the business projects that we had before. The political crisis should be resolved in a diplomatic way. We hope that the parties will find a mutually acceptable solution in the near future,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
"I would like to say that the relations between Russian and Japan have expanded in the last ten years. Tatarstan takes a good position as well, including turnover, joint projects and the expansion of investment cooperation," Tatarstan President pointed out.
Tatarstan Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President on International Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev and other officials took part in the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
