Rustam Minnikhanov: It is important to maintain contacts and find new markets to strengthen cooperation between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk regions

On June 21, at his meeting with Governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuivashev at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is important to maintain contacts and find new markets to strengthen cooperation between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk regions.
To the point, the agreement on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, ecological, humanitarian and cultural spheres between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk region was signed today. “The signed agreement can help us getting to a new level of relations,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He reminded that Sverdlovsk region with its rich mineral raw material base is one of main partners of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed as well that engineering, petrochemical and food products are supplied from the republic to Sverdlovsk region.
“Relations between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk regions have high potential. Cooperation can be developed in the sphere of education, as both regions have good academic, engineering and scientific base. Ekaterinburg and Kazan will host matches of the World Football Cup in 2018, that is a good chance to show sports and transport nfrastructure, developed hospitality industry,” Tatarstan President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov believes that another prospective area for cooperation is construction of high-speed railway “Moscow-Kazan”. Contacts between municipalities should be established, too.
Tatarstan President thanked leadership of Sverdlovsk region for good attitude to Tatars, and reminded that permanent representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan has worked in the region since 1996.
Evgeny Kuivashev, in his turn, noted long-term friendly relations established between the regions. He told about development of technology parks, innovative centres, and prospects of economic development zone “Titanovaya dolina”. Sverdlovsk region is in top industrially developed regions in Russia, the Governor continued.
Evgeny Kuivashev said that electronic, optical equipment, composite materials, are produced in the region, medical and pharmaceutical industries are well developed.
Rustam Minnikhanov was interested in purchasing insulin and medical equipment produced in Sverdlovsk region.
Evgeny Kuivashev invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit the region to learn more about major industrial enterprises, and determine spheres for closer cooperation. He suggested considering participation of Tatarstan in international industrial exhibition “Innoprom” in Ekaterinburg on July 9-12, 2014.

“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
