Regional Open Field Olympiad of Tatarstan geologists opens in Kazan

On June 24, the 1st Regional Open Field Olympiad of Tatarstan geologists opened in Zarechie camp in Kazan. To the point, 26 teams from Tatarstan and Bakhchisarai region (Crimea) will take part in the event.
Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Consultant of Tatarstan President on oil and gas field development, honoured geologist of Russia Renat Muslimov, Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov congratulated young geologists on opening of the Olympiad.
The address of President of Russian geological society Viktor Orlov was presented at the opening ceremony.
Renat Muslimov told about specific features of geologist’s work: “It is such an interesting work, when you learn something new every day. We believe that there are good and born geologists. And we need the latter. Unfortunately, today born geologists go abroad after graduation from Kazan University. I want best geologists to stay in our country, and Tatarstan.”
The training course for young geologists, competitions and contests, and cultural events will be held during the Olympiad.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
