Rustam Minnikhanov meets with President of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council Jean-Jack Queyranne

On June 24, at his meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council Jean-Jack Queyranne said that business relations between regions favour strengthening of cooperation of Russia and France. He also noted partnership relations between Tatarstan and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
Jean-Jack Queyranne told that Rhône-Alpes is the 7th region by economic potential in Europe and the 2nd important region in France. He noted that robotics and chemical industry are developing in the region. Much emphasis is put on bio technologies, informatization, medicine, treatment of oncological diseases, and energy sector. Jean-Jack Queyranne said that energy production arouses concern, and use of renewable energy is very important. Development of energy industry is the future of our economy, he stressed.
According to Jean-Jack Queyranne, Rhône-Alpes is number one region in Europe by energy production.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, said that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Rhône-Alpes region, especially in the sphere of innovations and engineering, and thanked for an opportunity to get familiar with some projects implemented in Lyon. The President believes that exchange between Tatarstan and French business delegations should be established.
“I am sure we can have many interesting joint projects, and we would like to send our specialists here to study your experience in some spheres. As the Chairman of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, Rustam Minnikhanov said that other Russian innovative regions will also be interested in the experience of French colleagues.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov invited Jean-Jack Queyranne to visit Tatarstan.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
