Technopark “Idea” (Kazan) has become a member of European network of Business and innovation centres

Director General of Innovative-production technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko informed that technopark has become a member of European network of Business and innovation centres (The European Business Innovation Centers (BIC) Network - EBN).

By his words in spite of that fact that Russia is not a part of European Union, European network of Business and innovation centres approved the application of Technopark “Idea” about entering the EBN network. The decision was made on 29 April at board of directors of European network of Business and innovation centres.

Sergey Yushko stressed that the decision to accept Technopark “Idea” in EBN is the evidence of that fact that technopark located on Tatarstan territory works in accordance with European standards.

It was founded in 1984 supported by European commission and leading industrial companies of Europe. Situating in Brussels, EBN is a team which coordinates the work and implements the qualitative control for enterprises – members of network. The object of network is support of centres and management of programs implemented with EBN support. The aim is to increase the number of BIC in Europe and abroad.

The aim of BIC is support of starting companies, small and medium enterprises.
