150th anniversary of Kazan branch of State Bank of Russia celebrated in Kazan

On June 27, solemn event dated to the 150th anniversary of Kazan branch of the State Bank of Russia opened at Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Dzhalil.

The Bank was renamed as the National bank of the Republic of Tatarstan in 1990. Today the bank controls the work of 22 Tatarstan credit organizations.

State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksei Pesoshin, Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Bashkortostan Marat Kashapov took part in the event.

Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Tatarstan Evgeny Bogachev, who has headed the bank since 1993, welcomed the guests. He told about the history of the bank, and noted that for the last 20 years all banks within regional bank system continued working stably.

“Economic and social situation in the republic, stable banking sector, rational use of banking resources and risk minimization are the main tasks of the National Bank of the Republic of Tatarstan. We are doing our best to work proactively, solve problems as they arise due to help and well-timed actions of regional leadership,” Evgeny Bogachev said.

State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and other honoured guests congratulated employees of the National Bank of the Republic of Tatarstan on the holiday.
