Another import-substitution production to be launched at SEZ “Alabuga”

On July 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a Board session of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”.

Deputy Director of ZAO “Techstroi” Stanislav Veselovsky told about innovative production of biaxial pipes made of polyvinyl chloride. With the share of 12 per cent in Russian market, Techstroi is the second producer of polyethylene pipes in the country. Main features of new produce will be high-strength, flexibility, resistance to chemicals, resistance of the interior surface, smaller weight, and easy assembling.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered Tatneft company and other potential customers to study characteristics of new pipes.

Construction of another plant at SEZ “Alabuga” was also mentioned at the session. President of OAO “Gammakhim”, the supplier of tropical oils and products, Evgeny Goncharenko presented the project of production of higher fatty alcohol, fatty acid and glycerin. The company is planning to launch a unique import-substitution production in Russia.

According to Director General of “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin, the produce of future plant might favour development of new segment of small and medium-size business in Tatarstan. In this regard, Rustam Minnikhanov suggested developing a special programme.

Director General of “Avtostankoprom” (St. Petersburg) Abdurashid Vokhidov, who took part in the meeting, told about multifunctional protective nanofilms “Epilam”.

Working plan of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Board was also approved at the session.
