Rustam Minnikhanov agrees to top the list of United Russia party at Tatarstan State Council election

On July 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accepted the proposal made by United Russia party members to top the party list at Tatarstan State Council election to be held on September 14, 2014. The proposal was made at a today’s forum of secretaries of primary divisions of Tatarstan regional branch of All-Russia political party "United Russia" at the Korston hotel.
The event of such format was held in Russian regions for the first time. The United Russia party has declared the year 2014 a year of “primary divisions”, meaning that the party focuses on the cooperation with its rank-and-file members, who work in their towns or villages.
The branch of Tatarstan United Russia party includes 134,550 members and 1,633 primary divisions, which is more than in any other Russian region. The party won 79 per cent of the votes at the last State Council election.
Speaking at the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov told about the goals set by the local government, the need to improve the general living standard and modernisation of the regional economy.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that the United Russia party played a special role in the regional political system. It has for many years taken part in the development and implementation of socio-economic strategies to develop Tatarstan. The party is represented in every township of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President continued that the work of the party is needed to be developed to improve the lives of Tatarstan citizens and instructed his fellow party members to run an election campaign.
The delegates of the forum took the floor after the president’s speech. Secretary of Nizhnekamsk party branch No. 36 Rishat Galimov suggested Tatarstan President topping the list of the United Russia party at the State Council election to be held on September 14, 2014.
The other participants welcomed their colleague’s proposal with applause. Rustam Minnikhanov said that he accepted the proposal with respect and responsibility.
To the point, an official decision that Tatarstan President will top the party list at election on September 14 will be made at a conference of the United Russia party to be held in Kazan on July 5.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
