Rustam Minnikhanov drives new LADA Granta liftback from the Freedom Square to Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin

On July 5, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Director of OAO “AVTOVAZ” Bo Inge Andersson and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed issues of development of the national car industry, as well as new car models of OAO “AVTOVAZ”.
Then, Rustam Minnikhanov drove new LADA Granta liftback from the Freedom Square to Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin. In Russia, the sales of this model started on May 15.
“Today, our Russian cars are as good as foreign ones. I am very happy that such a new model came in the market. The car makes no noise, manual gearbox works smoothly. The suspension and road-holding ability are good. Rustam Minnkhanov told journalists, commenting on the new new LADA Granta. Answering a question about the price of the car, the President noted that this model’s price is moderate.
Bo Inge Andersson, in his turn, said that the company manufactures 2200 cars per day, including 600 cars being produced for Renault-Nissan.
"Today, we are advertising LADA Granta liftback. In the near future, you will see some other new models. Next year, in September, we will launch a new model of "Lada Vesta" with a starting price of 400 thousand roubles, " Bo Inge Andersson told journalist.
President of OAO "AVTOVAZ" also said: "Tatarstan is our largest market for the first five months of this year. We have sold 11 thousand cars in the republic over this period."

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
