Tatarstan President: “We want agricultural machinery to operate efficiently to keep the crops"

On July 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, employees of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office and Government, deputies of Tatarstan State Council, heads of ministries and agencies, heads of municipal regions, agricultural holdings, farms took part in a plenary session of regional meeting on results of work of Tatarstan agricultural industry in the first quarter of 2014.
Participants of the session looked around the exhibition of ZAO “Agrosila group”, planting of winter and spring crops, experimental technologies of crops cultivation, fodder conservation, soil cultivation and plant growing, and visited one of livestock breeding complexes, and got familiar with new samples of agricultural equipment.
Speaking about results of work of Tatarstan agricultural industry in the first quarter of 2014, Rustam Minnikhanov said that in spite of decrease in economic growth, manufacturing of agricultural produce increased and is expected to make 64 billion roubles. He noted that today about one quarter of all agricultural produce in Volga Federal District is manufactured in Tatarstan.
Among priority tasks Tatarstan President mentioned acceleration of fodder conservation, development of melioration, decrease of debt load on agricultural companies, and development of agricultural business. The President added that 800 million roubles were allocated for supporting agricultural producers from the regional budget.
Speaking about coming harvest works, Rustam Minnikhanov said that because of weather conditions it is difficult to estimate the amount of crops .
Summing up results of work, Marat Akhmetov said that the expected amount of agricultural output is 64 billion roubles, about 6 per cent of the total country’s amount. He also noted that the increase in production was achieved in livestock sector and poultry farming. The proceeds of agricultural companies made 30 billion roubles in cash.
In general, Tatarstan agricultural producers should finish harvest works in August.
Summing up, Tatarstan President said that 300, 000 of food grain should be procured this year.

“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
