Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting on placing UNESCO sign in Bolgar

On July 10, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Revival Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Mintimer Shaimiev held a working meeting on placing UNESCO sign and emblem in Bolgar. On June 23 Bolgar historical and archeology museum was included in UNESCO World heritage List.
Solemn events dedicated to presentation of the certificate about official recognition of Bolgar historical and archeology museum the monument of cultural heritage of humanity with the participation of UNESCO representatives will be held in August in Kazan and Bolgar.
Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated everyone on this significant event and noted that recognition of Bolgar historical and archeology museum the World heritage site plays an important role and imposes more responsibility for preservation of historical monuments of the ancient town.
“Our next task is proper location of visual international signs that confirm Bolgar belonging to UNESCO World Heritage,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
Aide to Tatarstan President, CEO of Revival Foundation Tatyana Larionova told that UNESCO signs, emblems and plates will be located in Bolgar complex. Information about their location and texts of plates will be written in four languages (Russian, Tatar, English and Arabic) and agreed with UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Paris.
Director General of Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt Adel Khusnutdinov presented places for locating signs in Bolgar complex. Participants of the meeting discussed the size, materials, and terms for making signs and plates.
Head of Spassky municipal region Kamil Nugaev, Deputy Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Director of the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies of Kazan Federal University Ramil Khairutdinov, Pro-rector on research work of Kazan State University of Culture and Arts, Head of Volga branch of UNESCO Department for preservation of architectural monuments Rafael Valeev took part in the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
