On July 13, regional national holiday of christened Tatars “Pitrau” was celebrated in Mamadysh region, Tatarstan for the 15th time. The guests visited ethnic houses of christened Tatars living in Mamadysh, Bakaly, Chebarkul, and Nagaybaksky regions. Folk groups demonstrated oral folk arts, games and crafts.
Among honourable guests were Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office Asgat Safarov, and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov.
The Prime Minister congratulated everyone of the holiday:
“We are glad to see many people from other regions on the holiday that has become a big regional event popular among many nations. For the 15th time we have an opportunity to be in this beautiful place.”
Ildar Khalikov also read out official greetings of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: “This holiday has rich past, generous present and wonderful future.
I am glad that this folk holiday is celebrated in a new bright way. In the year of culture Pitrau holiday is becoming more important. We are proud to know that the role of cultural, language, and spiritual wealth of all nations living in Tatarstan is increasing.”
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
