Tatarstan delegation visits World Trade Centre Free Zone in Montevideo

On July 14, Tatarstan delegation led by the President Rustam Minnikhanov visited World Trade Centre Free Zone in Montevideo, Uruguay.
WTC Commercial Director Mario Tucci and Tatarstan President discussed use of intelligent technologies upon rendering services via free economic zones, technology parks and innovative sites. Rustam Minnikhanov invited Uruguay partners to Tatarstan to learn more about Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny IT parks, Innopolis, and Smart City Kazan.
Tatarstan President noted that besides traditional real sectors of economy such as automotive and aircraft industry, ship building and helicopter engineering, agriculture and oil refining, it is important to develop new spheres, in particular, IT, telecommunications and robotics. These sectors offer Tatarstan and Uruguay partners opportunities for implementation of mutually beneficial projects, Rustam Minnikhanov added.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
