Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visits III International youth educational forum "Selet"

On July 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, accompanied by Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Member of Tatarstan State Council Razil Valeev and other officials, visited III International youth educational forum "Selet”, being held at Bilyar Historical and Archaeological Reserve Museum on July 15-20.
The distinguished guests looked around the tent camp established right on the meadow. About 5,000 children aged from 12 to 17 years old came from different Russian regions and foreign countries to take part in the forum. They live in tents, which are arranged in groups, depending on the region from which the forum participants came. Sinks, toilets, a large outdoor kitchen, classroom tents are provided for children. Workshops and meetings with famous cultural figures and businessmen are held every day.
“When I came here and was told, what topics you are discussing here, what tasks you are facing, I realized that it is very difficult even for me. I mean that this form is very democratic. There are no special conditions here, but the environment and people, who came here, is probebly the most important thing. When we come here, we also feel like part of you,” Tatarstan President said, addressing participants of the lecture at the Academy of Youth Diplomacy.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the forum and reminded that the Selet project was launched by activists in Arsk region 20 years ago. "This is one of the most, so to speak, intellectual centers, which brought together young talented leaders not only from our republic, but from other Russian regions and foreign countries as well,” Tatarstan President said, welcoming participants of the forum.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
