RT First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov: “The international conference on competitiveness in format of BRIC countries to be held in Kazan”

RT First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov held a meeting in the RT Cabinet on issues of preparation and holding of international conference on competitiveness in format of BRIC countries in Kazan.

Deputy Head of federal antimonopoly service of Russia Andrey Tsarikovsky, Head of management of international cooperation of state trade and industry administrative management of China Mr An Сhin Hu, Head of management of federal antimonopoly service in Tatarstan Aleksandr Grunichev took part in the meeting.

By the words of Andrey Tsarikovsky the conference is planned to be held in Kazan on 30 August – 3 September 2009. Kazan was chosen because “this city is as dynamic and growing as developing BRIC countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China”.

The issues of antimonopoly policy and antimonopoly regulation will be discussed at the conference.

Ravil Muratov said that it would be the first conference to be held under the aegis of BRIC.

Mr An Сhin Hu informed that specialists in the sphere of antimonopoly legislation of People's Republic of China would hold a session at the conference.

Andrey Tsarikovsky said that the first traveling collegium of Russian federal antimonopoly service (on 30 August 2009) would be held within the framework of international conference on competitiveness in format of BRIC countries in Kazan.
