Multi-purpose centre opened in Kildeevo village, Verkhny Uslon region

On July 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening ceremony of a multi-purpose centre that was built under regional programme opened in Kildeevo village, Verkhny Uslon region. The facility comprises a library, medical and obstetric station, and culture centre, with the library fund of 6, 000 books and periodicals.
Director of Central library system of Verkhny Uslon region Natalia Karaseva said that next year the library will celebrate its 80th anniversary, and new building is the best present.
Employees of medical and obstetric station said they liked the new building very much.
Speaking at a solemn opening ceremony of new Culture centre, Tatarstan President said: “It is very important for us to provide similar conditions in rural areas and in the city. We are working on it. There are 30 regional programmes and Verkhny Uslon region takes part in all of them.”
During his visit Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Minister of Health Adel Vafin, Deputy Head of Gorky railways – branch of Russian railways Aleksandr Cheremnov, and the administration of Verkhny Uslon region.
The guests looked around new multi-purpose centre and visited solemn event with the participation of local artists.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
