Igor Shuvalov visits construction site of Innopolis special economic zone near Kazan

On July 25, during his working trip to Tatarstan, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov visited the construction site of the Innopolis special economic zone near Kazan.
Accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime-Minister – Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Director General of SEZ “Innopolis” Igor Nosov, Igor Shuvalov looked around facilities under construction in the Innopolis innovative satellite town, situated 30 km away from Kazan.
The first object they visited was the construction site of the Popov Technopark, which will become one of the first technology parks in the special economic zone, with the project cost making 2,655 million roubles. It is expected to launch the park by the end of 2014.
Igor Shuvalov was told about the development of the Innopolis project, its construction stages and steps to attract potential residents of the town.
To the point, offices, modern infrastructure and services necessary to do business will be available for residents of the Innopolis. In addition, Igor Shuvalov was reported on the sources of the project funding, which has been awarded a federal status.
Shuvalov asked about the development of the social infrastructure in the Innopolis. A kindergarten, school and housing for IT specialists and their families will be provided in the town.
Igor Shuvalov also looked around the Innopolis IT-University, its sports complex and training and laboratory center under construction.

On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
