Rustam Minnikhanov: “The North West Oil Trunk Pipelines is the largest modern company”

On July 26, speaking at the 65th anniversary celebrations of JSC North West Oil Trunk Pipelines held in Almetievsk (Tatarstan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the company plays a great role in the Russian pipeline complex.
Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov, Advisor to Board Chairman of Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director General of OOO “Gasprom Transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov took part in the event.
Opening the event, Director General of SZMN Rifgat Khakimov noted that the development of the company started with one pipeline with a capacity of 800,000 tonnes per year in Tatarstan. “Today, we can pump such volume of oil for less than two days,” he said.
He thanked Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev for their support of all the initiatives and congratulated the SZMN employees on the company’s anniversary.
Welcoming the staff of the North West Oil Trunk Pipelines, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the company’s anniversary is an important event not only for the republic but for all ten Russian regions, where the company is represented. “The North West Oil Trunk Pipelines is the largest modern company, the most important Transneft’s subsidiary. The prospects of our oil industry depend on the oil transportation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Transneft is one of the main and most important companies in the country. "The prosperity of our country immensely depends on well-coordinated work of the petrochemical industry. And this is impossible without your efforts. The stability of the economy of our country is secured by your work," Tatarstan President said, addressing participants of the event.
He thanked the company’s staff, executives, old stagers and personally Transneft’s Director General Nikolay Tokarev and wished them success in their work.
Tokarev, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to Tatarstan leadership and personally to Rustam Minnikhanov for supporting the North West Oil Trunk Pipelines company.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
