280,000 hectares or 17 per cent of arable areas thrashed in Tatarstan

On August 2, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov with the participation of all municipal regions, Tatarstan Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that as of August 2, 280,000 hectares or 17 per cent of arable areas have been thrashed in Tatarstan.
Marat Akhmetov told about the weather forecast for the next two weeks and noted that this is particularly important for farmers in terms of the harvesting campaign. According to him, the grain moisture today is quite suitable for storage. Good harvest rates are one of the main tasks for today, the Minister said.
Many farms are close to the completion of the first stage of the harvesting of grain and pea crop, the Minister continued.
Ildar Khalikov asked to focus on successful harvesting. Every day may be loss-incuring, therefore it is especially important to organise the harvesting process properly, he said.
Then, Marat Akhmetov reported on the procurement of fodder in the republic. As of August 2, 1,003,000 tonnes of fodder units, including 509,600 tonnes of hay have been conserved. As of today, 16.5 centners of fodder units per one conventional head have been procured.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
