Agreement on establishment of cooperation and patronage connections between FSB Border management of Russia on Orenburg oblast and five Tatarstan municipal regions signed in Kazan

The issues of border cooperation as the factor influencing social and economic development of Russia's frontier subjects within the limits of the Volga federal district (PFO) have been discussed today in the RT Cabinet at a session of the district border commission under Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to PFO. Chief of the commission - Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to PFO Valery Shnyakin held the session.

A member of the commission First Deputy RT Prime Minister Ravil Muratov and Chief Federal inspector on Tatarstan Marsel Galimardanov took part in the event.

Valery Shnyakin noted that today the works on construction of frontier have started to gain momentum, the activity of border services in modern conditions is very specific. He also announced the agenda of the session ( perfecting the activity of state authority bodies of federation subjects and institutions of local government in sphere of the RF border protection, development of frontier cooperation as the factor influencing social and economic development of the RF border subjects within the limits of PFO.

Participants of the session discussed also the main directions of territorial authorities within the PFO limits on repression of drug trafficking through Russia's border.
Addressing to the participants of session, Ravil Muratov stated that the Republic Tatarstan is immensely interested in strengthening country's border. By his words, today serious economic projects are being realized in the republic, in particular - the civil-engineering design of the Complex of petrochemical and oil refining plants in Nizhnekamsk (JSC "TANEKO"). Attraction of labour force is necessary for implementing this project including beyond the limits of Russia . Annually Tatarstan issues about 25 thousand work permissions to labour migrants, Ravil Muratov told, and this tendency is expected to grow «We are aimed at bettering the work in this direction», - First Deputy Primier of Tatarstan noted.

Upon end of the session, the Agreement has been signed on establishment of cooperation and patronage connections between FSB Border management of Russia on the Orenburg oblast and Tatarstan municipal regions of Aznakaevsk, Almetyevsk, Bavly, Bugulma and Leninogorsk of Republic Tatarstan.
