Tatarstan ranked 5th among federation entities and1st in Volga Federal District by housing construction

On August 13, during signing the agreement on minimum wage in the Republic of Tatarstan by the Federation of Labour Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan, Coordination Council of Employers’ Associations of the Republic of Tatarstan and Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that the Gross Regional Product (GRP) made 746,8 billion roubles in the first half of 2014.
The growth rates in comparable prices made 101,2 per cent, the industrial production index made 100,6 per cent to the relevant period last year.
Quite good growth rates are observed in trade sector (5,5%), there is a decrease in contractor construction works (95,9%) and agricultural sector (99,4%).
At the same time, attraction of investments and production modernization are underway, investment projects are being implemented. The amount of capital investments made 78 billion roubles in the first quarter of 2014, the Prime Minister continued.
1.2 million m ² of housing was commissioned in the first half of 2014. In this regard Ildar Khalikov noted that Tatarstan was ranked 5th among federation entities and1st in Volga Federal District by housing construction.
In accordance with Russian President’s May Decrees, all necessary measures are being taken in Tatarstan to increase the wage of workers of non-profit organisations, the Prime Minister said.
Thus, the wage increase in educational sector made 16,8%, in health care and social industry - 17,3%, in the sphere of culture and art - 30,2%.

On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
