Rustam Minnikhanov: Two international educational schools to open in Elabuga and Kazan

On August 15, at a plenary session of regional August meeting of educational and scientific workers “Tatarstan: education of innovative region” that was held in Bogatye Saby village (Sabinsky region, Tatarstan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that we should analyze the situation with outflow of active young people from the republic today.
We spend much money on education, provide conditions for development of educational system and adoption of innovations, take major efforts on establishing resource centres for staff training and professional development, he added. The President noted that material and technical facilities of higher educational institutions are being improved.
Tatarstan President thanked federal centre for help in modernization of educational system. At the same time, migration of active young people from the republic takes place. “Young people are leaving Tatarstan, which means we are not working efficiently enough to make them stay in the republic,” the President said.
“We should think about making regional programme of staff training and professional development “Algarysh” more efficient, so that our young people can study in Europe, USA and China, because it is a connecting link for integration into global economy,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted. As a positive example of such activity Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned cooperation between Tatarstan and Carnegie Mellon University, establishment of IT University “Innopolis” and Russian-German Institute in cooperation with Kazan National Research Technical University.
Tatarstan President also informed participants of the event about opening of two international educational schools in Elabuga and Kazan.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, we should study every day, continuous education is the requirement of the present.
“Future success of Tatarstan is in its human resources,” the President summarized and thanked all teachers for their work.
State awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Federation were handed to best educational and scientific workers at the end of the plenary session.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
