Rustam Minnikhanov pays a working visit to Apastovo region

On August 21, during his working trip to Apastovo region (Tatarstan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening of a new kindergarten and had a meeting with activists of the region.
Opening the new kindergarten in Sviyazhsky village, Rustam Minnikhanov said, addressing its young dwellers: “You are our future and we are trying to provide the best conditions for you.”
The Leysan kindergarten for 80 places, four groups, was built under the regional programme, with the construction cost amounted to 50 million roubles. The kindergarten comprises a musical and sports hall, speech therapist’s office, curriculum office, medical, catering and laundry facilities, as well as well-equipped sports and plays ground.
At his meeting with the local dwellers in Apastovo, Rustam Minnikhanov told about the social and economic development of the republic. He stressed that a number of programmes aimed at the development of the social infrastructure are being implemented in the republic. In particular, new kindergartens, medical and obstetrical stations, roads, and rural clubs are built.
As a result, the demographic situation in Tatarstan is improving and the average life expectancy is increasing. Due to the attention paid to the village, the quality of life in the countryside is catching up with that in the city. “Our main task is to improve the quality of people’s lives,” Minnikhanov pointed out.
He continued that the implementation of social programmes is impossible without a developed and strong economy. Tatarstan President told about large investment projects, which are underway in Tatarstan, such as TANECO and Ammonium plants, Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, etc.
The regional leadership also supports the agricultural industry, including private farms, farmsteads, and family farms. “It is very important to develop small and medium businesses and we should provide conditions both in cities and regions,” Tatarstan President pointed out.
At his meeting with activists of Apastovo region, Rustam Minnikhanov told about social and economic development of the republic and main areas of the regional economy. According to him, in terms of gross regional product Tatarstan is ranked 5th in Russia.
He also told about yesterday’s event dedicated to inclusion of Bolgar in UNESCO World Heritage List, noting its importance for the promotion of Tatarstan in the international arena.
Speaking of Apastovo region, Rustam Minnikhanov named agriculture its main potential. At present, the agriculture industry is getting a new impetus due to restrictions on imports of foreign food and the villagers should take this chance, he said.
Summing up, on behalf of Tatarstan leadership Rustam Minnikhanov promised to continue to actively work to develop Tatarstan and deal with current problems.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
