Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is one of five leading regions by main economic indicators due to economic stability and unity of efforts

On August 25, at his meeting with administration of Leninogorsk region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is one of five leading regions by main economic indicators due to economic stability and unity of efforts.
In the afternoon Rustam Minnikhanov visited production facilities of OOO “RosNefteKomplekt”, and correctional school for handicapped children “Leninogorsk special comprehensive school №14”.
At the meeting with local administration, Head of Leninogorsk region Ryagat Khusainov made a report on main social and economic results.
Leninogorsk region is a cradle of oil and gas production industry, oil industry workers render support to social sphere of the region, he said. Much attention is paid to major repair of multi-apartment houses, construction of new housing, and repair of health care and educational organizations.

Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, said that today creative work and increase of GRP are priority areas in the republic.
“Though Tatarstan takes the first place in Volga Federal District by key economic indicators, there are issues to be resolved in housing and utilities sector, repair of roads, construction of new kindergartens, and major repair of housing. Tatarstan participates in all federal programmes, but we should have our own as well,” Tatarstan President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it is important to create conditions for improving the quality of life, and stressed that al social projects can be implemented only under sustained economic conditions.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
