Tatarstan Prime Minister hands over keys to new settlers in Tetyushsky region

On August 26, during his working trip to Tetyushsky region, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in opening of new multi-apartment house and held a meeting with local administration.

Opening the solemn event, Head of the region Valery Chershinstev thanked Tatarstan Government.

Ildar Khalikov congratulated new settlers on the event, and wished them to enjoy comfortable life in new cosy flats, get on well with neighbours and celebrate many festal occasions. The Prime Minister also handed over letters of gratitude of the Cabinet of Ministers to the builders.

Ildar Khalikov also visited sports recreation complex “Bars” and inspected construction works in the swimming-pool.

At the local culture centre Ildar Khalikov held a meeting with local administration, where Head of the region Valery Chershinstev told about development of the industrial park “Volzhanka”, work of investors on developing fruit and berry production.

It was noted that 80, 000 tonnes of bread were produced, family farms and private households are developing. The region takes part in 26 federal and regional programmes. It was noted that one of the region’s problems is unemployment, which level is two times higher than the average regional rate.

Speaking about social and economic development of the republic, Ildar Khalikov said that in general the economic situation is very difficult, but all social programmes are implemented due to many major enterprises working in Tatarstan.

He noted that major investment projects are being realized in the republic to support Tatarstan economic development, and favourable conditions for doing business are provided. Also, Tatarstan is the leader of innovative technologies.

Analyzing the work of agricultural workers of Tetyushsky region, the Prime Minister noted positive changes in agricultural sector.

Summing up, Ildar Khalikov promised that realization of all regional programmes will be continued.
