Rustam Minnikhanov: Kazanorgsintez plant is capable of solving any tasks it is facing

27 August 2014, Wednesday
On August 27, during his visit to the Kazanorgsintez chemical plant, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who was accompanied by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, noted its great contribution to the development of Tatarstan economy.

Rustam Minnikhanov looked around some new and renovated production facilities and visited the construction site of a new two-chamber pyrolisis furnace. In addition to facilities available at the plant, the new furnace to be launched in September 2015 is designed to produce 135,000 tonnes of ethylene per year.

"I am very glad to be with you at one of Russia’s most advanced petrochemical company. We are proud of our largest enterprises, and your company is one of them,” Minnikhanov addressed the company’s employees at a meeting held at the polycarbonate production workshop.

He reminded that in 2009 the company was in a difficult situation and many people say that it was close to be bankrupt. "But together we were able to sustain the company, and today you are one of the most successful enterprises of the Russian petrochemical complex,” Minnikhanov said.

According to him, the well-being of the whole republic depends on the economy development, while the budget revenues enable implementing a number of social programmes in urban and rural regions. This year alone about 30 regional and federal programmes worth more than 50 billion roubles are being implemented in Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Kazanorgsintez employees, its management, shareholders, and the city administration. “Kazanorgsintez is the largest plant not only in the republic but in the whole country. Therefore, we will give you any required support. I am sure, you will be able to deal with any tasks you are facing," Minnikhanov addressed the plant workers.
