Rustam Minnikhanov: Kazanorgsintez plant is capable of solving any tasks it is facing

On August 27, during his visit to the Kazanorgsintez chemical plant, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who was accompanied by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, noted its great contribution to the development of Tatarstan economy.
Rustam Minnikhanov looked around some new and renovated production facilities and visited the construction site of a new two-chamber pyrolisis furnace. In addition to facilities available at the plant, the new furnace to be launched in September 2015 is designed to produce 135,000 tonnes of ethylene per year.
"I am very glad to be with you at one of Russia’s most advanced petrochemical company. We are proud of our largest enterprises, and your company is one of them,” Minnikhanov addressed the company’s employees at a meeting held at the polycarbonate production workshop.
He reminded that in 2009 the company was in a difficult situation and many people say that it was close to be bankrupt. "But together we were able to sustain the company, and today you are one of the most successful enterprises of the Russian petrochemical complex,” Minnikhanov said.
According to him, the well-being of the whole republic depends on the economy development, while the budget revenues enable implementing a number of social programmes in urban and rural regions. This year alone about 30 regional and federal programmes worth more than 50 billion roubles are being implemented in Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Kazanorgsintez employees, its management, shareholders, and the city administration. “Kazanorgsintez is the largest plant not only in the republic but in the whole country. Therefore, we will give you any required support. I am sure, you will be able to deal with any tasks you are facing," Minnikhanov addressed the plant workers.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
