Rustam Minnikhanov: One of the main tasks is to improve the quality of life, and we can achieve it only with powerful economy

On August 29, at a solemn reception on the occasion of the Republic Day at Korston hotel, Tatarstan President said that the Republic of Tatarstan is one of leading Russian regions by many socioeconomic indexes.
Employees of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office, State Council, regional ministries and agencies, municipalities, large industrial enterprises, veterans of labour and civil service, Russian Minister of Communications nad Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy Viktor Chirkov, and Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov took part in the event.
Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said that every year we celebrate the Republic Day with new objects and projects. Tatarstan is one of leading regions in Russia, he added.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that everyone in the republic strives for best results, and one of the main tasks today is to improve the quality of life. This can be achieved only if we have a powerful economy and develop new industries and enterprises, he said.
It was noted that the 12th new production was launched at SEZ Alabuga, and more plants will open in the nearest future. Modernization of industrial enterprises is underway in the republic.
“It is especially important today to have self-sufficient regions in Russia, and Tatarstan has got everything to become such a region, - industry, qualified staff, scientific and technical potential. All of this will help up solving the most complicated tasks,” the President said.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked everyone for their work for the benefit of the Republic of Tatarstan as one of Russian regions and contribution to consolidation of the country.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
