Rustam Minnikhanov visits new improved yard territory in Privolzhsky district in Kazan

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated dwellers of Privolzhsky district in Kazan on the Republic Day and the City Day, and took part in opening of new improved yard territory.
Dwellers of houses No.18, 22 in Parina street and 61, 63 in Karbyshev street initiated improvement of the yard territory. Their requests sent to the housing managing company of the Privolzhsky district were the determining factor when choosing the location of a new sports ground. The funds were allocated under a certain regional programme.
Tatarstan President and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin walked around the territory, a football field, and had a tea-table conversation with veterans.
At the football field Tatarstan President was met by ex-player and present coach of Rubin team Roman Sharonov and young football players. Tatarstan President wished sportsmen good luck and took a picture with them.
Afterwards, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated dwellers of neighboring houses on the Republic Day and the City Day.
“We are glad that our capital is becoming more beautiful and we have more plans in this regard. The most important thing for us is the quality of life, therefore, we need to provide certain environmental conditions in yards, parks, squares, schools, kindergartens, and we will continue putting much emphasis on it,” the President said.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
