New sculptures displayed to the public in Old Tatar Settlement

On August 30, a sculptural composition illustrating a farmstead of the Tatar village dwellers was displayed to the public in the Old Tatar settlement. Students of the Kazan branch of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov donated their works to the city. Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin also saw new sculptures.
In the Old Tatar settlement, Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin were shown a theatrical performance with participation of children. Then, Tatarstan President talked to the authors of sculptures.
"Today, on the Republic Day and the City Day, we are opening a lot of new facilities. And here, in the Old Tatar settlement, we saw these new beautiful sculptures,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
According to Tatarstan President, the history and culture of the Tatar people are represented in the Old Tatar settlement and new sculptures will be an important addition to this composition.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
