Tatarstan oil, gas and chemical forum opens in Kazan

On September 3, at the exhibition center “Kazan Fair”, President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov, Deputy Head of Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Supervision Svetlana Radionova, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Baimurad Hodzhamuhammedov, President of the Union of Oil and Gas Industry Workers of Russia Gennady Shmal took part in the opening of Tatarstan oil, gas and chemical forum.
The traditional Tatarstan oil-gas and chemical forum is being held in Kazan on September 3-5. As many as 216 Russian enterprises and foreign companies from 14 countries are taking part in the forum.
Four field exhibitions, such as “Oil and Gas. Petrochemistry”, “Eco-technologies and equipment of the XXI Century", “Plastic & Rubber”, “Geo-Kazan: Exploration Department. Geodetic surveying. Cartography" will be held within the framework of the forum.
A number of scientific conferences, roundtables on expanding the use of Tatarstan chemical and petrochemical products in the construction and road building are included in the business programme of the forum.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov called the forum an important event for the republic. "This is an important event for us. Our republic has been and should remain oil and gas industry," he said.
He expressed his confidence that a number of interesting projects that will contribute to further development of the industry will be discussed at the forum.
Welcoming participants of the meeting on behalf of the Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said that the forum is being held for the 21st time, which an indicator of the sustainable development of the industry in the region.
Rustam Minnikhanov handed in awards to the winners of the Best Exhibit, Project or Technical Solution Competition, followinh which the Tatarstan oil- gas and chemical forum was declared open.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
