Issues of safety at petrochemical enterprises discussed in Kazan

On September 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Head of Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision Svetlana Radionova took part in a plenary session of All-Russia seminar “Experience in federal supervision in construction and use of chemical and petrochemical enterprises” organized by the Federal Service in Kazan.
In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov said that technological safety is one of priority issues in the republic, because Tatarstan is one of the most industrially developed regions in Russia. “We are realizing active industrial and civil construction, modernization of enterprises, and large investment projects. For six months of 2014, the amount of capital investments increased by 5 per cent. Works for 78 million roubles were fulfilled in construction industry. 1.2 million m² of housing were commissioned,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
“It is the result of your work, too, - Tatarstan President addressed employees of Volga Department of Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision. –You provide the required state control in construction industry, ensure industrial safety in all economic sectors. Oil production, oil processing and chemical industries are the most investment active economic sectors in Tatarstan,” he said.
Tatarstan President noted efficiency of the system of work on the largest projects that was built up in cooperation with Volga Department of Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision.
Rustam Minnikhanov said he was sure that the seminar will help revealing business needs in changing and updating industrial safety laws.
“I would like to thank you for your daily work and contribution to development of the republic. We should fulfill a large amount of work on construction of new plants in future, and these projects can be successfully implemented if Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision, state authorities, and enterprises work together,” Rustam Minnikhanov addressed participants of the seminar.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
