On September 5, during his working trip to Chistopol region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Cadet Boarding School No. 11 that was repaired before the beginning of new school year.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, today cadet schools offer a thorough training of teenagers for future military service, as well as facilitate the education of children from problem families.

Tatarstan President was shown around the renovated building and visited its sports hall and a dining room. He also attended a history lesson and saw a computer science classroom, where he asked students about board and lodging conditions in the school.

Tatarstan President was also told about the military-patriotic education of cadets, their sports training and participation in competitions (ski trips in winter, forced marches in summer, etc.). "We know that you support the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin to revive the GTO workout programme", the cadets addressed Rustam Minnikhanov, who, in his turn, asked students how many push-ups they can do and how much time they need to disassemble and assemble a submachine gun, etc.
