Protocol on intentions with regard to creation of the Development Center of IBM program decisions signed in the RT Cabinet

Head of Tatarstan government Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of JSC "IBM East Europe/Asia" Kirill Kornilev singed Protocol on intentions with regard to creation of the Development Center of IBM program decisions.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that republican government defined development of IT sector as the priority one. He considers that this sphere will be developing if provided with necessary infrastructure and staff.

RT Prime Minister supposes that IBM company is a strategic partner which may help the republic in entering world IT market and train specialists.

It is meant that IBM company will become one of residents of IT park in the sphere of high technologies. IT park is planned to be launched in 2009 in Tatarstan (the project is being relized within the framework of federal program “Foundation of high-tech parks in Russian Federation).

Rustam Minnikhanov noted likewise that cooperation with IBM company may develop not only within the signed protocol but also by other spheres: information decisions in educational sphere, introduction of IT projects within preparation for Universiade-2013, decisions in the sphere of road traffic management system, e.t.c.

In order to establish relations with large industrial enterprises of Tatarstan RT Prime Minister offered IBM specialists making presentation at a meeting of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding”.

RT Minister of informatization and communications Farit Fazylzyanov said that specialists of IBM program decisions centre will make IT decision for fuel-energy complex and project “Electronic Tatarstan” in particular. He also reminded that only this year IBM has launched programs in educational sphere in Tatarstan (programs of early children’s teaching IBM KidSmart), and museum cause.
