Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan and Vietnam should enhance cooperation in educational sphere”

On September 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Phạm Vũ Luận discussed cooperation of Tatarstan and Vietnam in the sphere of education and science within the framework of Russia-Vietnam relations in Hanoi.
Ambassador of Russia to Socialist Republic of Vietnam Andrey Kovtun, Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov took part in the meeting.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that after the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Vietnam in 2013 and his announcement about development of strategic partnership relations between Russia and Vietnam it is important to enhance cooperation.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that there are serious prospects in the sphere of education and specialists in many areas study at Tatarstan universities.
Besides, Tatarstan is one of leading educational centres in Russia, and cooperates with many countries in the sphere of education and student exchange programmes.
Addressing Phạm Vũ Luận, Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is important to expand contacts in scientific sphere and organize more joint exhibitions and internships. He invited Mr Phạm Vũ Luận to Tatarstan to estimate region’s opportunities.
Rector of Kazan State Technological University German Dyakonov, who took part in the meeting, told that the university established contacts with 18 higher educational institutions of Vietnam.
Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, in his turn, told about modernization of educational system in Tatarstan, and projects of international cooperation.
Mr Phạm Vũ Luận highly estimated cooperation with Russian and other foreign higher educational institutions. He expressed interest in education of students at Tatarstan universities.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that students who will study at Tatarstan and Vietnam universities will facilitate strengthening of relations between Russia and Vietnam.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
