On September 8, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov visited Nefis Cosmetics Company, where he looked around production facilities and had a meeting with the company’s staff.

"I have been citing the Nefis Cosmetics Company, its development strategy and the ability to position itself in the market as an example for more than ten years," Head of the Government of the republic addressed the company’s employees after visiting the production facilities.

Khalikov said that he was surprised when more than 15 years ago the company’s representatives made a decision to invest in the development of production, while the rest invested in trade, thus seeking to compete with foreign producers. It was also an unexpected step to start production of mayonnaise and ketchup, the Prime Minister added.

General Director of the Nefis Cosmetics Company Dmitry Khaibullin, in his turn, reported on ongoing projects aimed at increasing the enterprise capacity.

Ildar Khalikov noted that Tatarstan companies take steady positions in the market. This is mostly due to modernization, petrochemical and machine-building companies could perform in the last decade. According to the speaker, a number of modern enterprises, such as the TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, and more than 40 companies with a total investment volume of over 100 billion roubles have been established in the republic in addition to the rich heritage of the former Soviet Union.

He stressed that Tatarstan is an attractive market for foreign investment as well.

The Prime Minister also continued that a number of projects aimed at improving the lives of people are being successfully implemented in the region, adding that due to the Universiade, which was held in Kazan last year, new sports facilities were built in the city.
