Tatarstan Prime Minister visits Nefis Cosmetics Company

On September 8, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov visited Nefis Cosmetics Company, where he looked around production facilities and had a meeting with the company’s staff.
"I have been citing the Nefis Cosmetics Company, its development strategy and the ability to position itself in the market as an example for more than ten years," Head of the Government of the republic addressed the company’s employees after visiting the production facilities.
Khalikov said that he was surprised when more than 15 years ago the company’s representatives made a decision to invest in the development of production, while the rest invested in trade, thus seeking to compete with foreign producers. It was also an unexpected step to start production of mayonnaise and ketchup, the Prime Minister added.
General Director of the Nefis Cosmetics Company Dmitry Khaibullin, in his turn, reported on ongoing projects aimed at increasing the enterprise capacity.
Ildar Khalikov noted that Tatarstan companies take steady positions in the market. This is mostly due to modernization, petrochemical and machine-building companies could perform in the last decade. According to the speaker, a number of modern enterprises, such as the TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, and more than 40 companies with a total investment volume of over 100 billion roubles have been established in the republic in addition to the rich heritage of the former Soviet Union.
He stressed that Tatarstan is an attractive market for foreign investment as well.
The Prime Minister also continued that a number of projects aimed at improving the lives of people are being successfully implemented in the region, adding that due to the Universiade, which was held in Kazan last year, new sports facilities were built in the city.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
