Rustam Minnikhanov visits Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi

On September 9, during his working trip to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi.

Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park was founded to conduct researches and development of innovative projects, production and financial support of high-tech products. It comprises business incubator for enterprises making high-tech goods and services and deals with staff training for high-tech sector.

Representatives of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park management told about creation and development of the park and assigned mission. The decision about creation of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park was made ten years ago, and it became the first hi-tech park in Vietnam. Japanese colleagues provided consulting services at the stage of construction, and are now taking part in construction of the park infrastructure.

Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park occupies the territory of 1600 hectares and comprises four zones, including staff training zone, research and development zone, and software development zone. Creation of the park was initially based on “smart city” principles, and special preferences were provided for residents. Major works on constructing residential premises and infrastructure will be done till 2018.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park management for the given opportunity to meet and learn about the project development pans. He noted that work on creating innovative infrastructure has been carried out in Tatarstan for the last ten years, and told about Innopolis and High-tech park “IT-park” projects.

Rustam Minnikhanov wished Vietnamese colleagues success and offered establishing cooperation in some areas.

The agreement on technology cooperation was signed between Naberezhnye Chelny IT-park and Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park during the meeting.

Later on, Rustam Minnikhanov and his party visited academic buildings of FPT University, FPT Software, and Vikomed laboratory.
