On September 9, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, FINA CEO Cornel Marculescu, and Chairman of FINA Facilities committee Joaquin Pujol discussed preparation for the World Aquatics Championship and World Masters Championship 2015 in Kazan.
Opening the meeting, Ildar Khalikov said that the High Diving Cup was successfully held in Kazan at the beginning of August this year and attracted a numerous audience.
In his turn, Cornel Marculescu said that the High Diving Cup is being widely discussed in different countries and it was a great promotion for Tatarstan.
Ildar Khalikov noted that preparation for the upcoming championship is underway, with regular sessions of the organizing committee being held. Safety issues, interaction with the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Emergency Situations were discussed last week.
“We have got all necessary resources to ensure safety of big competitions,” Ildar Khalikov said. Participants of the Aquatics championship will be offered to live in Universiade village to make it easier to provide transport, safety, and catering services.
Participants of the meeting also discussed construction of modern facilities, terms of performance of some preparatory works and other details.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
