12 September 2014, Friday
Dear Tatarstan citizens!
The campaign for the elections of local council deputies of the fifth convocation is nearly completed. Representatives of eight political parties competed for seats in the Parliament. Many topics were raised at the meetings with voters and in the pre-election debates.
It is important that the criticism of drawbacks has mostly been to the point, with many useful proposals made. They will all be taken into account by the state and municipal authorities in their work.
In general, the campaign has been constructive. Almost all the election participants said that Tatarstan had made remarkable progress in social, economic, spiritual and cultural development and was one of the leading Russian regions. The major innovative projects implemented in the republic set the high living standards.
It is important to maintain this positive attitude and convey it to the new parliament, develop in the work of political parties and public associations.
Dear citizens of Tatarstan, it is up to the people to give the ultimate assessment to all the election process participants. The voter turnout is one of the most important indicators of the effectiveness of the election campaign.
Residents in Tatarstan have always been active. There have never been problems with the number of voters coming to the ballot boxes. I am sure things will be the same this time as well.
Our strength is in unity and ambition to make Tatarstan a prosperous region.
I wish you, dear friends, optimism, confidence in your own strength and firm faith in your native republic.
