Rustam Minnikhanov meets Akim of Astana

On September 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Kazakhstan in the afternoon, met Akim and members of Akimat of Astana region.

Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Industry and Commerce Shamil Ageev, Director of OAO “Tatneft” Nail Maganov, Director of OAO “KAMAZ” Sergei Kogogin took part in the meeting.

Tatarstan delegation came to Kazakhstan to take part in solemn events dedicated to Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan.

Akim of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov welcomed members of Tatarstan delegation and said that people living in two republics are closely connected by the same origins.

Imangali Tasmagambetov told about social and economic development of the city and large-scale projects being implemented.

Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, expressed his gratitude for holding days of the Republic of Tatarstan in the capital of Kazakhstan. He stressed that the city is becoming more beautiful under the leadership of Imangali Tasmagambetov, and the international exhibition “EXPO-2017” will give impetus to the city development.

Rustam Minnikhanov also thanked Russian and Kazakhstan leadership for providing favourable conditions for cooperation. He noted that many Tatarstan companies, such as Tatneft and KAMAZ are successfully working in Kazakhstan. Also, Kazakhstan is one of leading trade and economic partners of Tatarstan, a bilateral agreement on principles of trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation (1996) is in force, and Consulate-General of Kazakhstan is working in Kazan.

Tatarstan President also noted successful work of Consul General of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Tatarstan, and introduced new Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan Rustam Ilmirovich.
