World ice hockey legends and Ak Bars veterans play a match in Kazan

On September 23, Ice Hockey Legends charity game was held between The World Ice Hockey Stars and The Ice Hockey Veterans at the Palace of Sports in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, former Ak Bars Kazan team players, who now play as amateurs, and others took part in the match as part of a team of veterans.
Russian and world ice hockey stars of the past, including Scott McPherson, Aleksey Yashin and Andrei Kovalenko, arrived in Kazan to participate in the charity ice-hockey match.
Before the match, a video message from legendary Canadian ice hockey player Phil Esposito, who was not able to come to Kazan, was demonstrated to the audience and ice hockey players.
The match ended in a draw with a final score of 5:5. The post-game penalty shots allowed The World Ice Hockey Stars to win the game.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
