Tatarstan President visits Kazan Theological Seminary

On September 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science of the republic Engel Fattakhov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Tatarstan Minister of Construction Irek Faizullin, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy visited the Kazan Theological Seminary.
Tatarstan President looked around a repaired dining room and a library, where, according to Metropolitan Anastasy, about 70,000 books and documents are stored.
Rustam Minnikhanov also inspected a new sports complex, which is required according to new rules of accreditation of educational facilities. At the forum of the Orthodox Community of Tatarstan held on May 13 this year, the seminary leadership addressed Tatarstan President with a request to help them in building a sports complex. Rustam Minnikhanov promised to allocate funds for this purpose at that moment and today he visited the new finished complex, which occupies an area of 650 square meters. Its construction cost, including equipment, made 30 million roubles.
Tatarstan President presented a mini-bus to the seminary.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
