Rustam Minnikhanov: “We are expecting new achievements from “Zenit-Kazan”

On September 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Director General of OOO “Gasprom Transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov, team players, coaches and fans took part in solemn opening of new season of “Zenit-Kazan” volleyball club at the International information centre (Universiade Village).
The official part of the ceremony began with introduction of new players and Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed players and fans: “Today we are starting a new season. Our team won at different championships and we hope that this season will be successful.”
The President thanked team players, coaches and sponsors, especially OAO “Gasprom” and company’s Board Chairman Aleksey Miller.
“Due to achievements of our team volleyball has become very popular in the republic. About 6, 000 children play volleyball at and youth sports schools. By and large, 45, 000 people play volleyball in Tatarstan. I am sure that this number will increase. “Zenit-Kazan” is a pride of our republic,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov handed the letter of gratitude to the club members, who in their turn gave a gold medal of Russian championship to the President.
Chief Coach of the club Vladimir Alekno and Olympic Champion Aleksandr Volkov thanked fans and club management for support.
The first game will be held on October 4 at the Volleyball Centre «Saint Petersburg».

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
