Tatarstan President meets Chairman of Muslim Spiritual Board of Transbaikal region

On September 29, at his meeting with Chairman of Muslim Spiritual Board of Transbaikal region, imam khatib of Chita cathedral mosque Rishat Saidashev, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked him for active work on developing Islam and Muslim culture in Transbaikal region.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of preaching traditional Islam and counteracting extremism movements.

Rishat Saidashev, in his turn, told about activity of Chita cathedral mosque and medrese.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Rishat Saidashev also discussed interaction between Muslims of Transbaikal region and religious figures of the Republic of Tatarstan, exchange of experience and obtaining religious education.
