Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev meets new Turkish Consul General in Kazan Turhan Dilmaç

On October 2, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met new Turkish Consul General in Kazan Turhan Dilmaç.
Turhan Dilmac is the tenth consul general since the Consulate General of Turkey opened in Kazan in 1996. He assumed his office early in September. During his career as a diplomat, Turhan Dilmac worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Embassy of Turkey in Bishkek, Athens, UN Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, and Embassy of Turkey in Moscow in 2010-2014.
At the beginning of the meeting, Turhan Dilmaç noted that he was happy to meet the former Tatarstan president in person. “Your name and work as the regional leader have been known to me since my childhood, I have always been interested in the history of fraternal Tatar people and achievements the republic has made recently,” he said.
The strong cooperation between Turkey and Russia gave confidence in its progress, he said. “Tatarstan has built every condition for successful activity of Consulate General of Turkey. It is a special honour and pride for Turkish diplomats to work in Kazan,” he said.
Mintimer Shaimiev stressed that the establishment of Consulate General of Turkey in Kazan opened ways for multifaceted cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan and that mutual projects aimed to preserve culture, language and historical heritage are of special importance. He congratulated Turhan Dilmaç on the beginning of his work in Tatarstan and wished him success.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
