Tatarstan President meets President of the biggest Chinese tour operator

On October 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met President of Chinese tour operator CITS Madam Yu Ningning, who is visiting Kazan within the framework of her tour around Russian cities for establishing cooperation in the sphere of tourism.
Addressing Madam Yu Ningning, Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with the biggest Chinese tour operator. He told that the republic has a very rich tourism potential, there are many tourist attractions and important sport, political, and cultural events are held in Tatarstan.
Minnikhanov said that 1.7 million tourists visited Tatarstan in 2013, as the Universiade held in Kazan that year gave new impetus to development of tourism. He also told that the republic approved its tourism development programme till 2020.
The President noted that cooperation between Tatarstan and China is developing. Only this year Tatarstan delegation has visited China twice, and Chinese delegations often visit Tatarstan.
“We would like to develop our cooperation in the sphere of tourism. The document we will sign today will be the next step in this area,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Madam Yu Ningning, in her turn, told about the company and said that 3.23 million customers used company’s services last year.
“Russia-China relations are experiencing revival now, and we are interested in developing cooperation in the sphere of tourism. Considering current circumstances, most Chinese tourists visit Moscow and St. Petersburg. However, we are going to extend our geographic reach,” Madam Yu Ningning said.
Agreement on cooperation between CITS and Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism was signed at the end of the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
