Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in meeting held by OAO “Russian Railways” on developing railway industry

On October 7, in Moscow at the central office of OAO "Russian Railways", Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting on the development of the railway industry. Heads of some Russian regions also attended the meeting chaired by President of OAO "Russian Railways" Vladimir Yakunin.
Organizational issues related to the Railways activity in the regions were discussed at the meeting. In particular, it was reported that all works regarding feasibility studies of the construction of a high-speed railway linking Moscow with Kazan were finished. According to experts, the aggregate GDP growth will make 11.7 trillion roubles due to the increase in labor productivity and business activity within the first 12 years of its operation.

On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
