New Head of Tatarstan Ministry of Economy introduced to the staff

On October 8, Acting Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin introduced a new Minister of Tatarstan Ministry of Economy Artem Zdunov to the staff.

Addressing employees of the Ministry of Economy of the republic, Aleksey Pesoshin read out the decree of Tatarstan President on appointment of former minister Midkhat Shagiakhmetov to the position of Chief of the National Bank of Tatarstan. He thanked M. Shagiakhmetov for his work as Head of the Ministry.

"During his tenure as the minister, the republic has strengthened its position as one of the leaders in the Russian economy. Since 2010, Tatarstan has ranked first in terms of the performance of the authorities,” Pesoshin said.

Aleksey Pesoshin handed in a Letter of Commendation of Tatarstan President to Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and wished him success in his new office.

Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, in his turn, thanked the staff of the Ministry, noting that all the achievements Alexei Pesoshin told about were the result of teamwork.

Then, Aleksey Pesoshin read out the decree on appointment of Artem Zdunov, who has been Deputy Minister for four years, to the position of Minister of Economy of Tatarstan.

“Artem Zdunov is not a new-comer for the ministry. He was in charge of investments, innovations, which is very necessary and topical now. I hope the new minister will continue that systematic work that was particular for the ministry,” Aleksey Pesoshin said and handed in a symbolic case to the new official.
